Sec 3G - VIDEO MAKING

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 8:36:00 AM

Sec 3G are out to make a statement. As the ‘actors’ of Victoria School, their challenge is to make a short film on the unity and strength of the Victorians. In short, the Victorian Spirit!
Without big bucks to hire hollywood’s biggest stars, 3G have to be content with their class’ acting skills. This would be a test of their capabilities indeed. Yes yes future mediacorp stars we’re sure.

The film is sure to be a firecracker, for it is sure to touch every Victorian’s heart through their depiction of humour and showing the Victorian spirit. The film is not to be missed and we shall be waiting!

Their challenge is to help the school by putting self-made chess boards around the school, anyone and everyone will be able to use them and Victorians can interact more with each other. I am sure that with hard work and much effort, they will be able to fulfill their quest to bond many Victorians together and help them to interact with each other more .

Secondary 3D - Can friendship last?

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 6:43:00 AM

Long way to go for friendship bands. Class 3E don't seem to be on track and with the clock ticking away, they still need around 500 more and the threads they are using to tie the bands are running out... just like time and their patiences. Victorians being Victorians, they will still strive to meet an impossible target and don't we always hear," It's not whether we win or lose, it's how we play the game".
Come on 3E! Victorians hearts are with you!

Secondary 3E - Mark of Friendship!

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 1:08:00 AM

Secondary 3E has decided to create friendship bands for sale, with all proceeds going to a charity organisation. Entering the class of Secondary 3E, we were greeted with music of a pop genre. This is probably due to the need to attract teeny boppers… Everyone was hard at work, tying friendship bands to sell to fellow students.

Through the 24-hour period, they plan to create about 500 friendship bands. Their aim was to make 200 friendship bands by 6pm today. After the 24 hour period, they plan to commence the sale of the bands, with each costing $2, hence raising an approximate total of $1000. All proceeds will go to an undisclosed charity organisation. We wish them all the luck in completing the challenge

Secondary 3I - VISIT OF ALL MRT STATIONS

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 8:11:00 PM

Secondary 3I has by far come out with the one of the most interesting challenges. Being the only class who takes the Victorian Challenge to a new level by doing the challenge outside, it shows the strong Victorian Spirit instilled in them. Their Aim was the spread Victoria School's name throughout the whole of Singapore, to let others know of the Victorian Challenge. Well, what was their challenge? Their challenge was to visit every single MRT in Singapore. A simple challenge one might say, but it requires a massive amount of perserverance and physical strength just to get from point to point. i have personally followed their class and they show a strong unity and bonding in this challenge and their massive contribution in spreading the name of Victoria School will not be forgotten.

Sec 3C - Seen this pizza's???

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 6:41:00 PM

Bon appetit
Tempted???

Secondary 3C has decided to take on a charitable approach in furthering Victoria School’s name for the better in cook books. The whole class has decided to create a 131 inch pizza to sell to the students. Enormous! It will be divided equally into pieces, with each piece costing $10. All proceeds will go to a charity organization, which has not been disclosed yet. (Probably the Food for the Obese foundation?)
The pizza is expected to be ready now, after being made in the Home Economics classroom, with its sales already in progress. We wish them all the luck in completing the challenge. Mmm!

Sec 3J - VS wall mural

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 4:00:00 PM

A hand clutching the school crest, proclaiming the undying Victorian spirit. Their swansong project.
Secondary 3J, painting of a wall mural, aims to create a day-to-day remembrance for themselves. The design of the mural is a hand gripping the edges of the school crest. This will definitely encapsulate the absolute control that students’ minds can grasp the nature of authority present in the school.

A student from 3J gave his insight on their challenge, “We wish to promote the mission of the school through this challenge.” Riiight… we say.

Secondary 3A - HUMAN SIZED FIGURINES?!

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 2:47:00 PM

The class of Secondary 3A has decided to take on an aesthetic approach to contribute to Victoria School. They will be making three live sized Victorian figurines. They plan to station these figurines in VS to signify the Victorian spirit, hoping that future Victorians will be inspired by these figurines.

Their figurines will be made from recycled materials such as newspaper and styrofoam, stuck together with glue and coated with layers of paint. Secondary 3A sets a good example for utilising the 3 Rs; Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Their aim is to complete all three figurines within a ten hour period. With their good teamwork and class spirit, we are sure that they will be successful in their challenge. We wish them all the luck in completing their challenge.

Secondary 3B - 'Victoria' BALLS (soccer)

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 11:09:00 AM

The class of Secondary 3B has decided to take on a charitable approach to raise funds for an undisclosed charity organisation. They will be selling custom made Victoria soccer balls. These custom made soccer balls cost $20, $30 and $40, depending on the type of ball.

They plan to sell a total of 500 soccer balls, in the process raising an amount of $1000. You would have heard about their challenge during morning assembly, when a class prefect made an announcement to inform others of their cause.

Furthermore, advertisements have been pasted on the walls of our institution at key points, featuring more about their challenge. Through this, we are sure that many will support their worthy cause, hence making their challenge a successful one. We wish them all the luck in completing their challenge.
