Sec 2B - Painting of CORE VALUES along corridors!

Posted by: Victoria School, at: 12:35:00 PM

The Class of 2B has taken a on a rather common challenge, that is to improve the aesthetics of the school but with a twist. Instead of just sprucing up the uniform tan-coloured corridors outside classrooms with shiny new coats of paint, they have decided to paint the core aspects of what constitutes a Victorian - our Core Values. The Victorian Spirit was clearly shown in both teacher and students as they were stencilling their templates onto the walls. It was quite a rare sight, a teacher removing her heels and getting down and dirty with her boys. When asked how they felt about the challenge, an enthusiastic "We can't wait to start painting." was given without hesitation.
However, man proposes, heaven disposes. 2B too had their fair share of difficulties. One of the stencils had a grammatical error and was too short to be rectified. A new stencil was out of the question as they had no materials left to make a new one. It was also too time consuming.

When asked how long it took to produce the stencils, the boys looked at each other and gave a weary reply "About 4 hours". Teamwork definitely shone true when the whole class stayed back the day before the challenge to complete the stencils. Despite facing a problem at such an early stage, the boys quickly came up with a solution.

They reused the alphabets of the stencils by cutting them out to make the correction. Lightning quick wits - a given where Victorians are concerned. (: They took almost an hour just to stencil the Core Values onto the walls. It was only meant to be a rough guide, and would have to be further editted for precisions sake. That and they have to cover 3 levels of the school. Keep on truckin' 2B! We'll be rooting for you!
